Our services

Cosmetic Dental Treatments

Porcelain Veneers

These custom-made porcelain shells, often called instant orthodontics or "the Hollywood smile" are an incredible solution for patients with crooked or discolored teeth. Porcelain veneers attach to the front of the tooth, creating a white, straight smile in as little as two weeks.

Dental Bonding

If you have minor chips in a tooth or inconsistent spacing between teeth, dental bonding can cover these imperfections. By applying a tooth-colored resin to your tooth, our dentists can create the appearance of a full, healthy tooth.

Smile Makeover

It may be the case that a combination of cosmetic treatments will help you achieve the smile that best complements your unique facial features.  Our dentists can recommend the right combination of procedures to give you a beautiful new smile. Teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, bridges and Invisalign are all common components of a comprehensive smile makeover.

Invisalign

These clear orthodontic mouthpieces offer a multitude of benefits to anyone wishing to straighten their teeth. Invisalign® costs about the same as braces and requires about as much time to produce your desired effects. Because they are removable, they are significantly easier to clean, and allow you to continue enjoying your favorite foods. Their smooth texture will not irritate the lips and gums, and they are safe to wear while playing sports.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are a popular treatment that can give your face a renewed youthfulness to complement an amazing smile. Tiny injections of botulinum toxin can temporarily paralyze the muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a younger, more refreshed appearance. If you wish to reduce the signs of aging without undergoing invasive surgery, BOTOX® Cosmetic may be an excellent solution for you.  Botox is often used at our office to help with clenching and grinding, by reducing the muscle activity in specific facial muscles.

Zoom!® Advanced Power Whitening

This fast, effective in-office whitening treatment can make your teeth several shades whiter by eliminating the staining effects of coffee, red wine, and tobacco. Treatment only takes about 2 hours.

Gum Reshaping

If you have excess gum tissue, it can cause your smile to lack symmetry, which is an important characteristic of a beautiful smile. It can also cause your teeth to appear short or otherwise unhealthy. Cosmetic gum reshaping is a process of removing this excess tissue and framing the remaining tissue in a way that makes your teeth look their very best.

General Dental Treatments

Free Exams for New Patients!

Your oral heath is important to us, and we want to be the ones who help you to enjoy many years of healthy teeth and gums. If you are new to the Gonzales and Prairieville area, or if you are in need of a dentist who can provide comprehensive care, your first examination with us is free, and includes digital x-rays.

Teeth Cleanings and Gum Disease Treatment

Even if you brush and floss regularly, bi-annual professional teeth cleanings are recommended to remove plaque and calculus deposits from hard-to-reach areas of your mouth.  Once plaque has hardened, it cannot be removed with brushing and flossing.  A dental hygienist has special tools to remove these hard deposits.  Regular cleanings are essential to prevent gum disease.  We also treat gum disease (aka periodontal disease) with a process called scaling and root planing.

Dental Implants

Dr. Lamendola has done extensive implant training.  He is currently a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association.  If you are missing one or more teeth, these titanium posts can be placed into your bone, providing superior support for dentures, crowns, and bridges. Placing dental implants requires at least two surgical procedures and several months of healing, but can provide you with up to 40 years of dependable support.
Dentures

The teeth are essential for proper eating, speaking, and support of your facial features. If you are missing most or all of your teeth, we can help by creating custom dentures that will help you enjoy these essential functions once again. Dr. Lamendola & Dr. Kacie Teague will also make sure your dentures give proper facial support to restore a youthful look.

Root Canal

When decay spreads to the tooth pulp (the inner portion of the tooth consisting of nerves, blood vessels, and other tissue), careful removal of the pulp becomes necessary to salvage the healthy exterior of the tooth. Once the pulp has been completely removed, the tooth is filled with a rubber-like substance and sealed with a filling, leaving you with a healthy tooth.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

If you have a cavity (a decayed area in a tooth's outer structure), we use tooth-colored resin to fill the void after the decay is removed. This helps to preserve and support the tooth structure.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Wisdom teeth develop behind your molars during young adulthood. These teeth often erupt improperly, becoming impacted in your jaw and causing pronounced pain and crowding of your existing teeth. Because normal oral functions are possible without wisdom teeth, we provide wisdom teeth extraction to restore comfort and health to those who experience related complications. We also perform extraction of decayed or damaged permanent teeth when necessary.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

If you are missing a tooth or have a tooth that is extensively damaged, these special tooth-shaped prosthetics can be custom-crafted and placed with cement to provide long term support or fill a gap in your smile.

Sedation Options

We offer in house sedation for our patients who have dental anxiety.  We offer two choices: nitrous oxide analgesia or oral conscious sedation.  Get a consultation to see which is right for you.
